Publication Ethics
Cognitio Artificial Intelligence Journal (COFIJO) is committed to maintaining the integrity of scientific publishing and adheres to the ethical standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). These ethical guidelines apply to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher (Artificial Intelligence Research Center, University of West Sulawesi).
Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, free from plagiarism, and has not been published elsewhere.

Authors are required to properly cite all data, references, and sources used in their work.

All individuals who made significant contributions to the research must be listed as authors.

Authors are responsible for the authenticity and accuracy of the data presented in the manuscript.

If significant errors are discovered after publication, authors must promptly notify the editor for correction or retraction.
Editors’ Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for making final decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts based on academic merit and reviewers’ feedback.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information to unauthorized parties.

Editors should ensure that the review process is fair, objective, and free from discrimination.

Editors must avoid conflicts of interest in handling manuscripts.

Editors have the right to retract a published article if evidence of ethical misconduct, such as plagiarism or data manipulation, is found.
Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers assist editors in determining whether a manuscript is suitable for publication through a peer-review process.

Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and unbiased feedback.

Reviewers must keep all information in the manuscript confidential and must not use it for personal advantage.

Reviewers should inform editors if they suspect plagiarism or any form of research misconduct.
Publisher’s Responsibilities

The publisher (Artificial Intelligence Research Center, University of West Sulawesi) ensures that all publishing processes comply with established ethical standards.
